China Citic Bank Corporation Limited (H-share: 00998) has released its financial results for the first half of 2026, showing steady growth in both revenue and profit alongside a stabilising net interest margin.

The bank recorded operating revenue of RMB 109.408 billion for the January-to-June period, representing a year-on-year increase of 3.05%. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the bank reached RMB 37.602 billion, up 3.08% compared to the same period last year.

Notably, the net interest margin stood at 1.62% for the first half, reflecting a decline of 1 basis point year-on-year but an improvement of 1 basis point from the first quarter of 2026. The quarterly sequential gain signals that the bank's interest margin is showing signs of bottoming out and entering a more stable phase.
