New China Life Insurance Company Ltd. (NCI) released its latest board roster dated 26 August 2026, confirming Yang Yucheng as Chairman and Executive Director, with Gong Xingfeng serving alongside him as Executive Director. The Board now comprises ten members across executive, non-executive and independent non-executive categories.

The company named Yang Yucheng and Gong Xingfeng to key leadership posts within the Strategy and ESG as well as the Investment and Asset Liability Management Committees, with Yang assuming chairmanship of the former.

Non-executive representation includes Yang Xue, Mao Sixue, Huang Geng, Hu Aimin and Zhang Xiaodong. Huang Geng’s directorship, along with his committee roles, remains conditional upon regulatory approval.

Independent oversight is provided by Xu Xu, Guo Yongqing, Zhuo Zhi and Sau Fun Cheung. Cheung’s appointment—and associated committee responsibilities—will take effect once her qualification as an independent non-executive director is ratified. Until then, incumbent independent non-executive director Ma Yiu Tim will continue fulfilling these duties.

Five specialized committees operate under the Board: 1. Strategy and ESG Committee – chaired by Yang Yucheng. 2. Investment and Asset Liability Management Committee – chaired by Mao Sixue. 3. Audit and Related Party Transaction Control Committee – chaired by Yang Xue. 4. Nomination and Remuneration Committee – chaired by Guo Yongqing. 5. Risk Management and Consumer Rights Protection Committee – chaired by Yang Yucheng.

Zhang Xiaodong holds membership across three committees, while Xu Xu, Guo Yongqing and Zhuo Zhi each serve on multiple committees to reinforce governance and risk oversight.

The updated governance structure underscores NCI’s emphasis on strategic development, ESG integration and robust risk management as the insurer continues to refine board responsibilities and regulatory compliance.
