SPT Energy Group Inc (01251) has released its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, revealing a notable turnaround in its financial performance. The Group recorded revenue of RMB 726 million during the period, representing a slight decline of 2.88% compared to the same period last year. More significantly, the company achieved a profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 5.45 million, marking a successful shift from a loss position in the prior corresponding period, with earnings per share standing at RMB 0.003.

According to the official announcement, the Group's reservoir engineering segment generated revenue of RMB 318 million during the period, reflecting an increase of RMB 13 million or 4.3% year-on-year. A breakdown of this segment's performance reveals that overseas operations contributed RMB 158 million in revenue, up RMB 22.8 million or 16.8% from the previous year. The growth in international revenue is primarily attributed to consistently robust work volumes in well testing, logging, and mud logging operations across the Middle East region.

Conversely, the domestic market's reservoir engineering segment posted revenue of RMB 160 million, representing a decrease of RMB 9.8 million or 5.7% compared to the prior year. The reduction in domestic revenue is mainly due to diminished work volumes in equipment maintenance, station operations, and related services in the Xinjiang region.
