CMOC Half-Year Results: Net Profit Soars 86%, Interim Dividend Proposed

CMOC reported robust interim results for the first six months of 2026. Revenue reached RMB135.32 billion, up 42.78 % year-on-year, while net profit attributable to shareholders jumped 86.27 % to RMB16.15 billion. Operating cash flow rose 36.02 % to RMB16.33 billion.

The board approved an interim cash dividend of RMB0.95 per 10 shares (tax inclusive), amounting to RMB2.03 billion, based on the total share capital of 21.39 billion shares as at 30 June 2026.

Segment highlights show the mining and processing arm generating RMB49.57 billion in revenue with a 59.64 % gross margin, and the IXM trading unit contributing RMB119.86 billion in revenue. Copper and cobalt operations delivered RMB35.68 billion in sales; molybdenum and tungsten RMB7.13 billion; and Brazilian gold assets, consolidated from January 2026, added RMB3.02 billion.

During the period CMOC Capital Limited issued USD1.2 billion zero-coupon guaranteed convertible bonds due 2027; the liability component is recorded at RMB7.96 billion and the equity component at RMB292.09 million. Assuming full conversion at the adjusted price of HKD27.55 per H share, approximately 339.55 million new H shares could be issued.

Total assets stood at RMB227.74 billion, with a gearing ratio of 52.16 %. Net assets attributable to shareholders were RMB89.96 billion, up 9.13 % from year-end 2025.

The board confirmed that the interim results are unaudited and stated that all directors attended the meeting approving the report.
