XUANZHUBIO-B (02575) saw its share price climb more than 8% in early trading before paring gains, with the stock last up 5.14% at HK$11.05, recording a turnover of HK$3.64 million. The company has announced that its board meeting will be held on Wednesday, 26 August 2026, to consider and approve the group's interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2026, as well as to deliberate on any proposed interim dividend.

The recent surge comes on the back of the company's announcement that its next-generation proton pump inhibitor (PPI), Anerazolan Sodium Enteric-Coated Tablets, has received acceptance of its New Drug Application (NDA) from the NMPA for the treatment of adult reflux esophagitis (RE). This NDA is based on results from a domestic Phase III trial that employed a randomized, double-blind design comparing the drug against rabeprazole. Notably, RE marks the second indication for which the company has filed an NDA, following duodenal ulcers.

In a research note, China Post Securities highlighted that Anerazolan exhibits clinical advantages over earlier-generation PPIs, alongside price and safety benefits when compared to PCAB-class drugs. With the product already reaching nearly 3,000 medical institutions, the brokerage believes it holds substantial commercial potential going forward.
