On the news front, Microsoft on Monday US Eastern Time unveiled a new generation of customized AI computing chips (known as AI ASICs, a type of custom AI chip), and stated that it plans to deploy possibly more than 1 million of these chips by next year. These chips are the most core component in the AI computing infrastructure field, supporting its massive internal AI computing resources.
Additionally, Bank of America said in a report that if AI assistants become the mainstream way people use software, it could deal a blow to enterprise software vendors, though the bank believes Microsoft has the advantage of being able to adapt to the transformation. BofA noted that leveraging the massive channels brought by Office, Teams, Outlook, and Windows, combined with its Copilot product strategy, Microsoft holds a prominent advantage in capturing the next generation of interaction interfaces.
