CONSUN PHARMA (01681) has announced its financial results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, reporting a revenue of RMB 1.785 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 13.8%. The company recorded a profit attributable to equity shareholders of RMB 595 million, up 19.5% compared with the same period last year, with basic earnings per share of RMB 0.71. An interim dividend of HK$0.38 per share has been proposed.

Looking at product segment performance, sales from the renal series grew approximately 18.1% year-on-year, reinforcing its leading market position. Meanwhile, the women's and children's health product line and the hepatobiliary series posted sales increases of roughly 9.1% and 233.7%, respectively.

Where is growth coming from? The overall revenue expansion was mainly driven by the group's continued efforts to broaden its nationwide sales network and boost product market penetration. During the first half of 2026, gross profit reached RMB 1.452 billion, up about 20.1% from RMB 1.209 billion in the corresponding period of 2025, largely reflecting higher sales volumes.

Why does the margin matter? The average gross margin for the period stood at approximately 81.4%, a 4.3 percentage point improvement over the 77.1% recorded a year earlier. This margin enhancement was attributed to a refined supplier management system, improved production and operational efficiency, and lower market prices for certain key raw materials.
