Prudential plc (PRU) announced its 2026 first interim dividend of 8.88 US cents per ordinary share on Aug, 27 2026.

Shareholders on the UK and Hong Kong registers will receive the distribution in pounds sterling or Hong Kong dollars respectively, unless they opt for US-dollar payment by submitting currency election forms by Oct, 02 2026. Holders of American Depositary Receipts will be paid in US dollars via Citibank N.A., while investors holding shares through The Central Depository in Singapore will receive the dividend in Singapore dollars.

The shares will trade ex-dividend on Sep, 10 2026, with a record date of Sep, 11 2026. Cash dividends are expected to be paid on Oct, 22 2026 for shareholders in Hong Kong, the UK and ADR holders, and on or around Oct, 29 2026 for Singapore shareholders.

Prudential is also offering a scrip dividend alternative, issuing new ordinary shares on the Hong Kong line. Singapore shareholders must submit scrip election forms by Sep, 25 2026, while UK and Hong Kong shareholders have until Oct, 02 2026. UK shareholders may alternatively participate in the company’s Dividend Reinvestment Plan.

The reference price for the new scrip shares will be calculated from the average middle-market price of Prudential shares on the London Stock Exchange over the five trading days starting Sep, 10 2026.
