Laekna (HKG:2105) said early-stage low-dose testing of its obesity treatment candidate LAE102 was well tolerated and led to reductions in fat mass among participants, according to a Tuesday filing to the Hong Kong bourse.

The biotechnology company said the 24‑week study reported no serious adverse events and no cases of diarrhea, muscle spasms or acne.

Laekna said it plans to conduct high‑dose testing under similar conditions and is seeking partners to accelerate the treatment's development and commercialization.

Shares were last down 11% in afternoon trading.
